Shady Acres Sheep Dog Trial

Spectator’s Information
Shady Acres Sheep Farm is located in Southern Middle Tennessee, about one and a half hour south of Nashville, TN.  We raise fullblood and percentage White Dorper Sheep, and commercial hair sheep, on a 70 acre farm that was originally homesteaded by Steven McCaleb’s family. We usually run upwards of 100 head.

We have been shepherds since 2005 and have found that raising sheep is much less work, and a lot more fun with a good dog!

Visitors are welcome (free admission) - a great family outing. If you have never watched a herding trial before, READ THIS FACT SHEET for more information on what to expect:  Herding & Trials Explained.

We often have food venders here.
